Karl Chee

Karl Chee has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Karl started their career in 2002 as a Mechanical Engineer at EXCEL MACHINE TOOLS LIMITED and worked there until 2005. Following that, they joined PCI as a New Product Introduction Engineer from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, they transitioned to CIMB as a Quantitative Analyst for a year. Karl then moved to Barclays Capital in 2008 and served as a Vice President in Market Risk Engineering until 2012. Currently, they are employed at GIC, where they initially worked as the Lead for Risk Solutions in the Risk & Performance Management Department from 2012 to 2021. Karl is currently serving as the Head of Risk Infrastructure in the same department starting in October 2021.

Karl Chee holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which they obtained from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Cambridge, earning a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Engineering from 1998 to 2002.
