Christopher Chen

Christopher Chen has extensive work experience in the financial and technology sectors. Christopher is currently serving as the Managing Director, Head of EIS Strats, and Head of Alpha Technology at GIC since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Global Head of Front Office, Systematic Strategies & Data Science Technology at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, US from April 2019 to September 2021. Christopher also held the position of Head of Investments & Risk Technology at Global Atlantic Financial Group from November 2018 to April 2019.

Before joining Global Atlantic Financial Group, Christopher worked at Caxton Associates where they held various roles including Managing Director, Head of Data, Quant & Investment Management Technology from March 2018 to November 2018, Managing Director, Head of Quantitative Analysis Group, Head of Front Office Technology from June 2014 to March 2018, and Senior Quantitative Analyst, Global Macro from November 2010 to June 2014.

Earlier in their career, Christopher gained experience as a Quantitative Analyst in the Quantitative Research & Structured Investments team at Conning from September 2008 to November 2010 and as a Quantitative Analyst on the Mortgage Trading Desk at Deerfield Capital Management from September 2006 to September 2008.

Christopher began their career as a Lead System Architect in Microcontroller Research & Design at Infineon Technologies from July 2003 to August 2005.

Christopher Chen has a Master of Science degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago. Christopher also has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Prior to that, they attended Raffles Junior College.
