William Teo

William Teo is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in leading data initiatives across multiple organizations. Currently, as Lead Data Scientist at GIC since March 2020, William focuses on machine learning engineering and natural language processing within the Investment Insight Group. Previously, as Lead Data Scientist at Grab from October 2018 to February 2020, responsibilities included overseeing data science infrastructure and mentoring team members. William was also a founding member of the data science team at GovTech Singapore and held significant roles at DSO National Laboratories and the Institute of Micro-electronics, where expertise included information systems, decision support analytics, and microfluidics. William holds a Master of Engineering in Virtual Reality and Haptics Interface and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, both from the National University of Singapore, alongside a Basic Certificate in Sculpture from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.
