Michael Witzel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Michael started their career in the German Federal Armed Forces, where they held various leadership roles and was involved in training, development, and coordination. After leaving the military, they joined gicom GmbH as a Personalreferent, focusing on talent management and leadership development. Michael then moved to BWI GmbH as an Employer Branding Manager, responsible for corporate marketing, staffing, and metrics. Currently, they are the Head of Human Resources & Administration at gicom, where they lead a team and provides guidance to executives and employees in all HR-related matters. Michael is also involved in employer brand management, digitalizing HR processes, and conducting trainings and workshops on topics like active sourcing and employer brand management. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a commitment to nurturing a positive work culture, implementing effective HR strategies, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
Michael Witzel obtained a degree in Diplom Pädagoge from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg in the years 2004 to 2008. In 2018 to 2019, they attended DEBA Deutsche Employer Branding Akademie GmbH to study Employer Brand Strategy, External/Internal Employer Branding, and Employer Brand Controlling, earning a degree in Employer Brand Manager.
