Waqas Waseem

Waqas Waseem has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Waqas Waseem, is currently serving as the Head of Human Resources, Training & Administration at Askari Life Assurance since November 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Pak Qatar Takaful, starting as an Assistant Manager of Human Resources from September 2011 to December 2014. Waqas Waseem, then progressed to become a Deputy Manager of Human Resources from January 2015 to December 2017. From January 2018 to August 2021, Waqas worked as a Team Lead in Talent & OD, and subsequently, as a Lead Manager in Human Resources from August 2021 to November 2022. Before joining Pak Qatar Takaful, they worked as an Officer of Human Resources & Industrial Relations at National Foods Limited from January 2006 to September 2011. Waqas also gained experience in administration and business development as an Administration & Business Development Executive at Naseem Associates from June 2004 to November 2005.

Waqas Waseem holds an MS in Management from the Institute of Business Administration, which they pursued from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed an MBA in Human Resource Management from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) between 2006 and 2008. In 2016 to 2018, they obtained an LL.B. degree from Karachi University. Additionally, they hold a Shahadat-ul-Almia degree in Islamic Jurisprudence, Tafsir, Hadith, History, Arabic Literature, Philosophy & Logic from Hidayah Academy, completed from 2019 to 2026. Furthermore, they achieved a Hifz-e-Quran degree from Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan in 1997-1998 ( with Top in Karachi distinction). In terms of certifications, Waqas Waseem is an Associate of the Life Management Institute (ALMI) from LOMA since 2020. Waqas Waseem, is also a Professional in Human Resources - International (PHRi) certified by the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in November 2019. Furthermore, they hold the certification of Lead Consultant/Auditor ISO 30414 for Guidelines for internal & external human capital reporting from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
