Rene Circ

Mr. Circ leads GID’s industrial platform strategy and development. Rene brings 23 years of industrial market experience across North America, Europe and Asia. He has worked at brokerage companies, Insignia/ESG and Grubb & Ellis, a public REIT, First Industrial Realty Trust, and an advisory firm, PPR/CoStar. Rene has been involved in excess of $15 billion of industrial acquisitions and dispositions and structuring $5 billion of core, value add, and land banking joint ventures. While at First Industrial, Rene co-led the Industrial Implementation Committee that was tasked to build out new industrial platforms in Canada, Mexico, and Europe. He worked closely with the CIO to develop market entry investment strategies and secure Board approvals. Most recently, in an advisory capacity, Rene guided multiple institutional players, such as TPG and Ivanhoe Cambridge, through entering the U.S. industrial market, and advised industrial investors and developers, IIT, IPT, CenterPoint, Rockefeller, on individual transactions.

Rene has a BA in Economics from Beloit College and an MA in Economics from DePaul University.
