Katelyn Boyden Mullen has a diverse work experience in the field of design and art direction. Katelyn started their career as a Marketing and Design Intern at Ohio University Culinary Services in 2014, where they worked on designing promotional materials and organizing photoshoots. Katelyn also worked as a Graphic Design Intern at GIE Media, Inc., assisting in the production of monthly business-to-business magazines.

In 2013, Katelyn became the Creative Director at Backdrop Magazine, where they managed a creative staff and designed spreads for the publication. Katelyn also worked as a Designer for the same magazine, collaborating with a team to create layouts. Katelyn's passion for magazine production continued as they became the Creative Director for Ohio Journalist Magazine in 2014, overseeing the publication's timeline and design process.

Prior to their roles in magazine production, Katelyn served as a Student Manager at Shively, managing a large staff and ensuring excellent service for Ohio University's Culinary Services. Katelyn also gained experience as a Front Page Designer for The Post, designing the front and jump pages for the student-run campus newspaper.

Katelyn's work experience also includes a Marketing & Design Co-Op role at The RoviSys Company, where they updated logos, created business cards, and photographed employees for various uses.

Most recently, Katelyn has been working as an Art Director at GIE Media, Inc. since 2021, where they showcase their design skills and expertise.

Katelyn Boyden Mullen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Informational Graphics and Publication Design, with a focus on Visual Communication, from Ohio University in 2015. Prior to that, they studied Design and Visual Communications at Ohio University from 2011 to 2013. Katelyn attended Hudson High School from 2007 to 2011.
