Michael Tagscherer

Michael Tagscherer is an accomplished technology executive with a strong background in product management and engineering. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Group Vice President at Giesecke+Devrient since January 2010, Michael has held various leadership roles, including Head of Product Management for Enterprise Security and Telecommunications. Prior experience includes a position as Business Line Manager for Asia Pacific at Giesecke & Devrient China, where Michael established product management and marketing structures while supporting sales in China, Japan, and Korea. Michael's career at Giesecke & Devrient began in 2001 as a Senior Product Manager specializing in Java Card(TM) based SIM products. An educated professional, Michael earned a Dr.-Ing. in Electronic Engineering from Technische Universität Chemnitz and a Dipl.-Inform. from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, supplemented by research at various esteemed institutions.
