Austen Wyche is an experienced advocate and researcher currently pursuing an A.B. in Economics and Government at Harvard University, expected to graduate in 2027. Since September 2023, Austen has held various roles, including Senior Senate Staffer for the Harvard Model Congress, where initiatives empower student participation in congressional simulations and mentor under-resourced students in Greater Boston. Austen also serves as a State Policy Intern at Brady: United Against Gun Violence, focusing on policy research for gun violence prevention. Additionally, Austen is involved with the Harvard College Consulting Group as an Analyst, the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School as a Journals Liaison for Governor John Bel Edwards, and the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review as a Staff Writer. As Policy Director for Harvard Undergraduates for Bipartisan Solutions, Austen collaborates on initiatives with external partners to advance bipartisan legislation. In advocacy, Austen has worked as a Courage Fellow with Giffords, lobbying for significant gun control legislation alongside youth activists.
