Julie Thompson has a diverse work experience in various industries. Julie started their career in 2008 as a Supervisor at UPS Supply Chain Solutions and stayed until 2012. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Legal Assistant at Sharon A. Zogas & Assoc., Ltd. Julie then joined Advocate Health Care in 2012 and held different roles including Coordinator Point of Service-Materials Management, Manager Materials- Perioperative Services, and Manager Materials-Perioperative Services. Their tenure at Advocate Health Care ended in 2021. Currently, they are working at Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, where they started as an Inventory Control Manager-Perioperative Services in 2021. Julie was then promoted to Manager, Supply Chain and Facilities Management and is currently serving as the Director, Supply Chain & Facilities Management since March 2023.
Julie Thompson earned their Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Moraine Valley Community College in 2011. Julie then went on to receive their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in the same field of study from Governors State University in 2014. In 2016, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, specializing in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the University of Illinois Springfield, expected to be completed in 2024.
