Thameur Zghal has extensive experience in risk management and actuarial work. Thameur is currently the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at GIG Gulf and serves as the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee at GIG Saudi. Prior to these roles, they worked at AXA Gulf, where they held the position of Chief Risk Officer and Senior Manager in Risk Management. During their time at AXA Gulf, they established the risk management function for three AXA entities in the Gulf region, focusing on various areas such as governance, product development, and support for underwriting large policies. Before joining AXA Gulf, Thameur worked as a Senior Actuary at Mazars Actuariat, where they led projects related to the Solvency 2 framework and managed teams of junior actuarial consultants. Thameur also gained experience as a P&C Risk Analyst at AXA Global P&C, where they focused on structuring and pricing reinsurance programs and conducted in-depth studies on risk factors and market cycles. Thameur started their career with internships at Fixage and AXA Cessions.
Thameur Zghal has a strong educational background in statistics, economics, and finance. Thameur obtained an Engineering Degree in Statistics and Economics from ENSAE Paris, where they studied probability theory, statistics, stochastic modeling, economics, econometrics, and risk theory from 2006 to 2009. In 2008 and 2009, they pursued Actuarial Science at the Institut des Actuaires and achieved the Actuary degree. Additionally, during the same time, they completed a Master's degree in financial engineering with a focus on financial mathematics at Université Paris Cité. Thameur Zghal is also a certified actuary from the Institut des Actuaires.
