Rakan Muawad

Rakan Muawad has diverse work experience in the field of risk management and actuarial consulting. Rakan currently holds the position of Head of Risk Management at GIG Saudi since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Lux Actuaries & Consultants in various roles, including Actuarial Consultant from October 2022 to September 2023, Compliance Manager from June 2022 to September 2023, Senior Actuarial Analyst from January 2020 to October 2022, and Actuarial Analyst from February 2017 to January 2020.

Rakan Muawad obtained a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science and Financial Mathematics from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals - KFUPM. Rakan studied insurance as their field of study during their time at the university, from 2011 to 2017.

In addition to their degree, Rakan Muawad has obtained several certifications. Rakan obtained the "Predictive Analytics" certification from the Society of Actuaries in June 2023. Rakan also obtained "The Fundamentals of Actuarial Mathematics - Life" certification from the same institution in May 2023. Prior to that, they obtained the "Pre Actuarial Foundation" certification from the Society of Actuaries in July 2022. Rakan Muawad also holds the "Insurance Foundations Professional Exam" certification from the Saudi Central Bank - SAMA, obtained in February 2022.

Furthermore, they obtained the "Short Term Actuarial Mathematics" certification from the Society of Actuaries in February 2022. Rakan Muawad has also been certified as an "Alteryx Designer Advanced" by Alteryx in April 2021, and as an "Alteryx Core Certified" in May 2019. Rakan has the "Models of Financial Economics" certification from the Society of Actuaries, obtained in November 2017. Before that, in August 2016, they received the "Validation by Educational Experience" certification from the Society of Actuaries.

Rakan Muawad passed the "Exam FM/2 (Financial Mathematics)" in April 2016 and the "Exam P/1 (Probability)" in March 2015, both from the Society of Actuaries.
