Sean Helme

Sean Helme has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Staff Security Engineer at Gigamon since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Platform Engineer at Kandji from March 2021 to June 2023. Before Kandji, they served as a Principal Cloud Engineer at Orange Logic from April 2020 to March 2021. Sean also worked as a Senior System Engineer at Weedmaps from May 2019 to April 2020. Before that, they held multiple roles at Four Winds Interactive, including Principal Cloud Engineer from October 2017 to March 2019, Cloud Engineer from October 2014 to October 2017, and Senior System Administrator from October 2012 to October 2014. Prior to their time at Four Winds Interactive, Sean worked as a Senior System Administrator at Model N - Channelinsight Operations from October 2008 to October 2012. Sean also worked as a System Administrator at Crispin Porter Bogusky from October 2007 to October 2008. Additionally, Sean has teaching experience as a Teacher at Orange County School of the Arts from September 2001 to December 2007. Sean started their career as a Lighting Engineer at Walt Disney Imagineering from April 1999 to September 2000.

Sean Helme attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 1998 to 1999, where they studied Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, they studied the same field at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts.

In addition to their academic education, Sean Helme has obtained several certifications in the field of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Sean received the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification in December 2017, followed by the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification in January 2018. In 2019, they obtained two more certifications: AWS Certified Security - Specialty in May and AWS Certified Developer - Associate in April. The institutions providing these certifications include Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon Web Services.
