Brian Burns

Brian Burns has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Brian is currently the Co-Founder, CTO, and Business Development Lead at Gigantik, where they have been since December 2017. In this role, they oversee the development and implementation of an end-to-end web3 engagement marketing and rewards platform for enterprise brands.

Prior to Gigantik, Brian worked at Dispersive Technologies Inc. from November 2014 to December 2017. Brian served as a Product Manager for the Dispersive Edge product line, where they focused on providing customers with secure, high-performing private WAN solutions. Additionally, they held the position of Director of Systems Engineering, leading video, voice, and unified communications product solutions strategy.

Before Dispersive Technologies, Brian worked at ADVA Optical Networking from June 2010 to November 2014. Brian started as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually became a Software Manager. At ADVA, they managed a team of software engineers and played a key role in driving process change to Agile/Scrum. Brian also served as one of three global software architects for Adva's largest product line.

Brian's earlier work experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at OPTI Medical, Acme Packet, ADVA Optical Networking, and American Signal Company. Brian also worked as an Electrical/Systems Engineer at Westinghouse SRC and as a Software Developer/Electrical Engineer Coop at Georgia Tech Research Institute.

Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated expertise in software development, product management, system engineering, and process improvement. Brian has a strong technical background and has contributed to the development and implementation of various high-profile projects.

Brian Burns attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1996 to 2002. Brian obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering during this time.
