Sarah Carvalho Guedes has a diverse work experience in the field of art and animation. Sarah currently holds the role of Art Director at Gigglebug Entertainment since November 2022. Previously, they worked at Insight Studios as a Background Production Designer from March 2022 to September 2022, where they were responsible for creating and establishing the overall look of backgrounds for an upcoming animation series. Sarah also supervised and coordinated the background team during the project.

Prior to this, Sarah worked as a Freelance Illustrator and then as a Background Art Coordinator at Anaya Produções Culturais. Sarah also served as an Art Director at Lobo.cx from February 2022 to May 2022, and as a Production Designer at Fantom Estúdio from January 2021 to December 2021. Sarah gained experience as a Production Designer and Background Artist at Immagini Animation Studios Brasil from March 2019 to December 2020.

Additionally, Sarah worked as a Cenarista and Background Artist at 44 Toons from January 2019 to July 2019. Sarah started their career as a Background Artist and Cenarista at Anaya Produções Ltda in October 2016, where they were involved in the pre-production phase of the animated film "Nimuendaju" under the supervision of renowned Brazilian director Tania Anaya.

Sarah Carvalho Guedes began their education in 2012 at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Cinema de Animação (Animation Cinema) and Artes Digitais (Digital Arts). Sarah completed this program in 2017.

In 2018, Sarah enrolled in various courses at Cgmasters Academy to further enhance their skills in Visual Development and Environment Design. Sarah studied The Art of Color and Light with Chris Brock, Environment Sketching with Dzu Nguyen, Environment Sketching for Production with Patrick Raines, and Perspective with Scott Capple.

Continuing their educational journey, Sarah joined Schoolism in 2019 to expand their expertise in Environment Design. Sarah completed a Visual Development Mentorship with Armand Serrano.

In 2020, Sarah returned to Cgmasters Academy to specialize in Character Design for Animation under the guidance of Nate Wragg. Sarah also took part in an Environment Concept Art course with Aaron Limonick.

The following year, in 2021, Sarah further honed their skills through additional programs. Sarah attended a 2-day Advanced Color Workshop with Zac Retz and engaged in a Visual Development and Art Direction Mentorship with Anthony Christov at Cgmasters Academy.

Most recently, in 2022, Sarah sought further education at Brainstorm School to refine their Visual Development skills specifically for animation with Frederick Gardner.
