Instructional Leadership Coach at Gilbert Public Schools

Tim Cannon is an experienced educational leader with a diverse background in instructional leadership and administration. Currently serving as an Instructional Leadership Coach at Gilbert Public Schools since July 2020, Cannon previously held the role of Principal at South Valley Junior High in Gilbert, AZ, from June 2014 to July 2021, and at James B. Conant High School in High School District 211 from July 2005 to June 2014. As a principal, responsibilities included staff development, hiring certified staff, and implementing a literacy program. Cannon's career began as an English teacher and coach at Hoffman Estates High School, where contributions included staff development and piloting courses for at-risk students. With over two decades of experience in training and development, Cannon also served as a trainer for Performance Learning Systems and has degrees from Western Illinois University, National Louis University, and Northern Illinois University in various areas of education and administration.
