Roberto Velasquez

Roberto Velasquez serves as the Global Vice President of Procurement at Gildan since August 2016, overseeing procurement operations with an annual spend exceeding $900 million across various categories and executing regional sourcing strategies. Prior to Gildan, Roberto held several leadership roles at Hanesbrands Inc. from 2002 to July 2016, including Vice President & Country Manager for Caribbean Operations and Vice President of Procurement, achieving over $70 million in cost savings through effective sourcing and supplier management. Roberto's educational credentials include a Senior Executive Program in Business Administration from INCAE Business School, certification as a Certified International Procurement Professional from Procurement Academy, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Atlantic University.
