Achim Brinker

Achim Brinker is currently the Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property at Gilead Sciences, a position they have held since 2019. They earned a JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a PhD in Biochemistry from the MPI of Biochemistry. Prior to their role at Gilead, Achim served as Senior Patent Counsel at OncoMed Pharmaceuticals and as a Patent Attorney at JONES DAY®. Their extensive experience includes positions such as Associate Director of Lead Discovery at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation and a Postdoc at The Scripps Research Institute.
