Bettina Bauer

Bettina Bauer holds extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President of US HIV at Gilead Sciences since May 2019, where responsibilities include managing commercial planning and product launches for therapeutic assets. Previous roles include Vice President at Gilead in Global Commercial Strategy and Operations Virology, and Global Commercial Product Strategy for HIV, COVID-19, and Emerging Viruses. Bettina served as Vice President & General Manager at Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie from 2020 to 2022 and has held senior positions at Merck Life Science, Merck Serono, Novartis, and Eisai EMEA in various capacities including Managing Director and Business Franchise Head. Bettina's educational background includes a Research Associate degree from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology and a Dr rer nat in Biochemistry from the University of Bayreuth.
