Doris Tang

Doris Tang is a highly experienced scientist specializing in medicinal chemistry, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Gilead Sciences since April 2019, where responsibilities include leading chemistry efforts. Prior to this role, Doris was a Ph.D. Candidate at Stanford University from September 2013 to February 2019, focusing on total synthesis in the Du Bois Lab, and also functioned as Head Teaching Assistant for an organic chemistry course. Earlier experience includes research positions at The University of British Columbia, the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, AFCC Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation Corp., and other institutions, demonstrating a strong foundation in various chemistry-related research areas. Doris holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Chemistry with a Mathematics Minor from The University of British Columbia.
