Koichiro Tahara

Koichiro Tahara has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Japan for Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance & Epidemiology at Gilead Sciences since April 2017. Prior to this role, Koichiro held several key positions at Pfizer from April 2003 to March 2017, including Senior Director of the Japan Drug Safety Unit and Director of Safety and Risk Management. Earlier experience includes roles at Pharmacia & Upjohn and Upjohn, focusing on regulatory strategy and research. Koichiro holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Tokyo University of Science.
