Leela Stuepfert is a driven individual currently engaged as a Data Science Intern at GenePath Diagnostics and a Research Intern at UC San Diego's NEATLabs. As the founder of Dear Teenagers, an online platform aimed at destigmatizing mental illness among students, Leela has developed outreach campaigns and fundraising initiatives. Serving as Vice President of Active Minds, Inc., Leela has significantly contributed to mental health awareness and suicide prevention on campus. Additional roles include facilitating educational efforts for disadvantaged youth with the County of San Mateo and serving as a Youth Development Professional with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Leela also holds leadership positions in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society International and has experience in writing and communications from serving as a Staff Writer for Scot Scoop News. Educational pursuits include a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Neural Computation at UC San Diego, complemented by an Associate of Science in Biology from the College of San Mateo.
