Leo Plouffe

Leo Plouffe has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and medical fields, currently serving as Vice President of Medical Affairs Research and Head of Global Patient Safety at Gilead Sciences from May 2022 to June 2025. Prior to Gilead, Leo held the position of Managing Partner at REAL et al LLC from July 2021 to May 2022. Leo's notable tenure at Bayer HealthCare spanned over a decade, where responsibilities included serving as VP, Head of Benefit-Risk Management, and Global Pharmacovigilance. Previous roles at Eli Lilly included Platform Team Leader, overseeing the development of antibodies for autoimmune disorders and oncology, as well as Group Medical Director for Lilly USA. Leo's academic background includes a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility, and Genetics from the Medical College of Georgia, complemented by an OB-GYN residency at McGill University.
