Philippa Payne

Philippa Payne is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academic research. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Outsourced Manufacturing at Gilead Sciences since May 2016, Philippa has held various positions including Senior Research Scientist I and Research Scientist I in Process Development. Additionally, Philippa co-chaired the ACS GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable from July 2021 to July 2023. Philippa's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Chemistry from the University of Ottawa. Further research experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of British Columbia. Prior research positions include work as a Research Assistant and Volunteer Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa and the University of British Columbia.
