René Bennett

René Bennett is the Director of Public Affairs at Gilead Sciences, where they spearhead transformative health initiatives focused on HIV, Hepatitis C, and prevention services. Throughout their career, René has successfully led multi-million-dollar health equity initiatives and built sustainable partnerships, resulting in millions of tests conducted and thousands linked to care across California. Prior to their current role, René served as the Managing Attorney at the Center for HIV Law and Policy, specializing in HIV criminalization and access to healthcare for youth in state custody. René holds a JD from Tulane University Law School and a BA in Political Science, International Relations, and Economics from Chapman University, and is pursuing further education in the Global Health Care Leaders Program at Harvard Medical School.
