Rich Thomas

Rich Thomas has an extensive background in communications and public affairs, currently serving as Executive Director of Leadership Communications at Gilead Sciences since April 2019, after holding the position of Sr. Director of Public Affairs. Prior to joining Gilead Sciences, Rich Thomas was with Gap from September 2011 to March 2019, where roles included Director of Brand Communications and Sr. Manager of Field Communications. Rich Thomas also held the title of Vice President at BlackRock between September 2004 and September 2011, and worked at New Line Cinema as an International Sales Coordinator from June 2002 to September 2004. The career began as a Proxy Analyst at Barclays Global Investors from December 1999 to July 2001. Rich Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of California, Davis, between 1994 and 1999.
