Vahid Zia

Vahid Zia is an accomplished professional in pharmaceutical development with extensive experience in both industry and academia. Currently serving as an Advisory Board Member at the CPPR, Vahid Zia plays a key role in fostering collaboration between industrial and academic scientists. As an Industrial Research Adviser at The University of Kansas, Vahid Zia supports the advancement of scientific education. With a long tenure as Executive Director of Product Development at Gilead Sciences, Vahid Zia oversees projects from discovery through commercial manufacturing. Additionally, Vahid Zia has contributed to drug development education as an Adjunct Faculty member at both North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. Vahid Zia's background includes significant roles at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, focusing on formulation and process development. Vahid Zia holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of Kansas and a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island.
