Katie Schmidt

Katie Schmidt currently serves as the Director of Middle School Innovation Lab at Gilman School, a position held since August 2020. Prior to this role, Katie worked in various capacities within Baltimore County Public Schools, including as a Staff Development Teacher and classroom teacher for grades 2 to 5. Key contributions include coaching teachers in effective practices, designing professional development, and integrating technology into the curriculum. Katie holds a Master’s degree in Science of Education with a focus on Instructional Technology from The Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Instructional Leadership for Changing Populations at Notre Dame of Maryland University.
