Sam Burns

Sam Burns is a highly skilled electrical engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and automation sectors. Currently serving as the Lead Electrical Engineer at Gilmour Space Technologies since July 2023, Sam has progressed through various roles in launch vehicle engineering. Prior to this, Sam worked at ESM Automation from October 2017 to March 2023 as a Control Systems Engineer, where responsibilities included software engineering, IIoT systems development, electrical design, and technical support. Additionally, Sam gained early experience as a Student Engineer at Honeywell in June 2017. Sam holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Engineering (Electrical) and Information Technology (Computer Science) from Queensland University of Technology, completed in 2017.
