Inbal Zafir-Lavie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Inbal is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Gina Life, a position they have held since January 2020. In addition, Inbal serves as an Advisory Board Member for Clinical Research Management & Regulatory Science at Arizona State University starting from July 2022.
Prior to their current roles, Inbal was a member of Cohort#5 at 8400 - The Health Network in March 2022. Inbal also participated in MassChallenge Israel in 2020 and emerged as the platinum prize winner in the first place. Before that, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Merck Group from February 2019 to January 2020.
In their earlier career, Inbal contributed significantly to Aevi Genomic Medicine, Inc in various roles such as Senior Scientist, Translational Medicine, and Israel R&D Site Leader. Inbal also served as a Team Leader in R&D and a Scientist at the same company. Prior to Aevi Genomic Medicine, Inbal worked as a PhD Biochemist in applications R&D at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where they led feasibility projects and developed new technologies.
Inbal's professional journey began as a Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Biology at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Inbal also gained valuable international cooperation experience during their tenure at the IDF International Cooperation Unit in the Israel Defense Forces from August 1998 to August 2000.
Inbal Zafir-Lavie completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2004. Inbal then pursued further education and obtained their PhD (direct course) in Molecular Immunology from the same institution, graduating between 2004 and 2010.
