Emil Garrote has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Emil began their career as a Store Assistant at Teknikmagasinet in 2011. Emil then worked as Sales & Administration at Xelent Office Sweden, managing sales and administration of Telecom and IT in the B2B sector. In 2014, they joined Digitales AB as Support and Service Technician / Area Sales Manager, where they provided IT-hardware and software support to dental clinics. In the same year, they also worked at NetOnNet as an E-commerce Sales Specialist and Online Sales Merchandiser, optimizing the company's e-commerce platform. In 2017, they joined Gota Media as a Digital Analyst and later worked as Webtraffic. Since 2018, Emil has been working at Gina Tricot, starting as a Web Analyst and progressing to roles such as Senior Web Analyst Manager, Performance Marketing and Analytics Manager, and currently, as the Head of Paid Media and Analytics, where they lead the paid media and analytics team and handles various responsibilities related to team and business development, budget tracking, sales optimization, and analytics of key metrics.

Emil Garrote has a diverse education history. In 2003, they obtained a gymnasieexamen in Samhällsvetenskap och Ekonomi from Sven Eriksons Gymnasiet. Emil then attended Högskolan i Borås from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Informatics.

In 2012, Emil Garrote had a unique opportunity to study abroad. Emil spent a year at Sino British College Shanghai, focusing on Computer Science. During the same period, they also attended the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, specializing in Informatics.

After returning to Sweden, Emil Garrote pursued further education in their field. In 2014, they completed a 7.5 hp course in Informatik at Linköping University. In 2016, they attended Luleå University of Technology for a brief period, earning another 7.5 hp in Informatik.

In addition to their formal education, Emil Garrote has obtained various certifications. In January 2018, they achieved the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) and further enhanced their knowledge by completing the Advanced Google Analytics and E-commerce Analytics From Data to Decisions courses offered by Google in April 2018. In October 2017, they also earned a certification called Blueprint eLearning program from Facebook Advertising.
