Elise Wilkes

Elise Wilkes, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Scientist 1 in Metabolomics and Analytical Chemistry at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., having joined the company in October 2022 after previously holding the role of Test Engineer 3 in Omics and Analytical Chemistry. From October 2018 to October 2022, Elise was a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate at Caltech, serving as the Agouron Postdoctoral Fellow and Lead Teaching Assistant for the 2019 International Geobiology Course. Prior to this, academic pursuits included a Graduate Student Researcher position at Harvard University in Biogeochemistry from September 2012 to May 2018, and various research roles at Dartmouth College, NOAA, and Arizona State University. Elise earned a PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Harvard University in 2018 and a B.A. in Chemistry from Dartmouth College in 2012.
