Matt Chamberlin

Matt Chamberlin is a seasoned software engineer with extensive expertise in scientific computing and data science. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., since October 2022, Chamberlin previously held several positions at Zymergen, including Staff Software Engineer in Metagenomics and Natural Product Discovery. Prior to Zymergen, Chamberlin worked as a Data Scientist at Gild, Inc. (acquired by Citadel LLC), focusing on data-driven product features for an intelligent hiring platform, and at Accenture Technology Labs, where innovative "big data" technologies were researched and prototyped. Chamberlin began a foundational career in research as a Research Assistant at James Madison University while earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics.
