Michael Ledbetter

Michael Ledbetter is a highly experienced professional in the field of biological engineering and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Senior Test Engineer II at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. since February 2020, Michael has progressed through various engineering roles there. Prior experience includes a role as Scientist II at Conagen where significant contributions were made in developing screening methods and expanding microfluidic capabilities. Earlier, at The Scripps Research Institute, Michael worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on DNA replication mechanisms and leading a collaboration on nanopore sequencing methods. Educational achievements include a PhD in Chemical Biology from Scripps Research and a BS in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.
