Dr. Johannes Wagner

Dr. Johannes Wagner has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Dr. Johannes was the Managing Director of Eraneos Analytics at Eraneos - powered by Ginkgo in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at Hummingbird Bioscience starting in 2017. Dr. Johannes also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at JAAI | JUST ADD AI GmbH from February 2022 to December 2022. Dr. Wagner has a background in data science, having worked as a Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at Ginkgo Analytics from 2018 to 2022. Dr. Johannes also has research experience, having worked as a Research Scientist at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS) from 2011 to 2017 and as a PhD Student at the University of Heidelberg in Theoretical Physics from 2011 to 2016. Additionally, they were a Visiting PhD Student at PICB CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology from 2010 to 2014.

Dr. Johannes Wagner completed their education with a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Theoretical Physics from Heidelberg University in 2016. Dr. Johannes also holds a Doktor (Ph.D.) degree in Computational Biophysics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which they earned from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their Diplom Physiker degree in Physics from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where they studied from 2001 to 2009. In 2004-2005, Dr. Wagner briefly attended San Francisco State University to study Physics. Additionally, they obtained a Cloud Architecture with GCP Specialization certification from Coursera in 2020.
