Dave Valencia

Dave Valencia is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in library management and editorial production. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Editorial Production at Girl Friday Productions since June 2014, Valencia has also contributed as a Production Editor. Prior roles include Regional Manager and Branch Manager at The Seattle Public Library, where operational oversight was provided for multiple branch libraries. Valencia’s earlier career included positions at the King County Library System as Assistant Manager and Reference Librarian, as well as serving as a Freelance Reviewer for Library Journal. Educational credentials include a Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington, a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from UC Irvine.
