Betsy Kemp-Thurston has a strong background in development and marketing. Betsy began their career in 1998 at IFRC, where they worked as a Sr. Officer, Private-Sector Marketing until 2003. Betsy then moved on to AFL-CIO Investment Trust Corporation as a Marketing Director for one year. In 2004, Betsy joined the Council on Competitiveness as a VP and stayed there until 2013. During this time, they held the position of Vice President for Development at LUNGevity Foundation from 2013 to 2013. Lastly, Betsy became the Director of Development at Girl Scouts Nation's Capital in 2014 and is currently in this role.
Betsy Kemp-Thurston obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from the University of Maryland during the period of 1977 to 1979.
