Jan Barker

Jan Barker is a seasoned leader in youth development and nonprofit management, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer for Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan since September 2007. Prior to this role, Jan held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Girl Scouts Glowing Embers Council from August 1995 to September 2007. Jan's foundational experience includes serving as a Youth Development Specialist at Michigan State University Extension from January 1979 to August 1995, with a focus on volunteer management, fund development, curriculum development, and international programs. Jan's educational background includes studies at the University of Florida, Miami Dade College, and Western Michigan University.
