Gena Wilson

Gena is a Director in PwC’s Sustainability practice and the Lead Director on the firm's ESG efforts on diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as Human Capital assurance nationally. She has been working to help tell clients’ stories in the human capital space externally. In addition, Gena advises global clients on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies, including how to navigate their sustainability reporting journey, with a specific focus on evolving and leading ESG frameworks. Gena has more than 14 years of experience advising companies on data, operational and technical controls, and performing reporting audits and assessments. Gena deals in SOC 1, 2, and 3, and other third-party assurance and internal controls reporting, including regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, SEC Rule 38a-1 Chief Compliance Officer Controls reporting, and SEC Rule 17Ad-13 Transfer Agent reports). Gena serves as the co-sponsor for the Boston, MA Purpose and Inclusion efforts, focused on racial social justice initiatives, local inclusion networks, as well as volunteer efforts within the community. She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Gena graduated cum laude from Bryant University with a concentration in accounting and a minor in psychology. Gena serves on the council’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee.
