Ashley Ayers is an experienced professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Recruitment and New Troop Development at the Girl Scouts of Western New York since March 2024, focusing on the establishment and success of new troops while engaging and supporting volunteers. Previously, Ashley held roles at the Girl Scouts of Western New York as a Program Facilitator and Community Engagement Specialist from March 2016 to September 2019, and participated in the Rising Leaders program at Leadership Buffalo in 2021. In addition, Ashley gained experience as an intern in the CME Department at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2015, where responsibilities included conference planning and relationship-building with medical professionals. Girl Scouts of Western New York, the preeminent girl leadership organization, currently serves 15,000 girls and 7,000 adult volunteers. Adult volunteers conduct a variety of age-appropriate programs and opportunities for girls at the troop and service unit level. Girls also participate in council-wide projects.
