Director, Curriculum at Girls Who Code

Jackie Blizzard is the Director of Curriculum at Girls Who Code. Jackie has been with the organization since August 2017 and in their current role, they are responsible for curriculum development, teacher training, and instructor hiring. Prior to joining Girls Who Code, Jackie was a STEM Education Consultant and a Computer Science Teaching Fellow at Google. In their previous roles, they developed training materials for in-person and online instruction, planned and facilitated training for instructors and teaching assistants, and managed budgets for teacher training programs. Jackie is passionate about increasing access to computer science education for all students and is committed to improving student outcomes through their work at Girls Who Code.

Jackie Blizzard attended Clemson University for their undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees, all in the field of civil engineering. Jackie also has a certification from Coursera in their "Build Your First React Website" course, a Graduate Certificate of Engineering and Science Education from Clemson University, certification from the National Charrette Institute in Community Design Charrettes, and finally certification from the Scrum Alliance as a Certified Scrum Product Owner.
