Data Analyst at Girls Who Code

Nora May is a data analyst at Girls Who Code. Prior to their current position, they worked as a data scientist at OMD USA from May 2019 to October 2021. There, they were responsible for marketing audience development for Nissan United and Omnicom new business work. This included predictive modeling, statistical segmentation, reporting, presentations to stakeholders, cross-agency communication, and training new data scientists.

Before their time at OMD USA, Nora May worked as a data scientist at Metis from January 2019 to April 2019. Metis is a 12 week immersive Data Science bootcamp covering topics in statistics, machine learning, programming, communication, and design. During their time there, Nora May designed, implemented, and presented five end-to-end projects, from data acquisition to statistical modeling and visualization. These projects included natural language processing of 100 years of musical theater songs, predicting whether or not a television series would be renewed, predicting art auction sales, and finding the optimal subway placement for video game advertisements.

Nora May graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

They are on a team with and Heather Wigell - Manager, Data & Analytics. Nora May reports to Ryan Clarke, Senior Director, Research & Analytics.
