Buddhika Kumarage

Buddhika Kumarage is a Geotechnical Engineer currently working at Gisborne District Council since March 2023. Previously, Buddhika held various roles at the National Building Research Organization from June 2015 to March 2023, including Lead Design Engineer for major national projects funded by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and World Bank, as well as Resident Geotechnical Engineer for slope stabilization works along the A005 national highway and Project Engineer focusing on management and planning. Buddhika began the professional journey as an Engineering Trainee at Maga Engineering from November 2013 to April 2014. Academically, Buddhika holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, complemented by a certificate in Spoken English from the British Council Sri Lanka.
