Isabella Clere

Isabella Clere is a Coastal Scientist at Gisborne District Council since November 2021, tasked with developing a regional coastal monitoring programme and collaborating with territorial authorities. Previously, Isabella served as an Environmental Scientist at Gisborne District Council, focusing on summer crop identification and environmental research publication. Earlier roles included Horticulturist at Native Concepts Limited, Ecology Technician at Ryder Consulting Dunedin, and various positions in environmental monitoring and hydrology, all emphasizing biological activity and water quality sampling. Additionally, Isabella gained experience in food science and viticulture through internships and seasonal work at The Kraft Heinz Company and Whitehaven Wine Company. Isabella holds a Master of Science in Marine Science and dual Bachelor's degrees in Food Science and Marine Science from the University of Otago.
