Phill Dodds is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Gisborne District Council since January 2019, Dodds previously held positions including Engineer Manager at Damar Industries Limited, where the focus was on chemical, solvent, and paint processing. Prior roles encompass Engineering Services Manager at Fulton Hogan, where expertise was applied to water and wastewater treatment operations, and Operations and Engineering Manager for Renewables at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd. Earlier in the career, Dodds was Gas Network and Project Manager at Contact Energy Ltd, and also worked as an Engineer at Mobil Oil, specializing in terminal engineering and energy management. The engineering journey commenced as a Design Engineer at Aquaheat Ind Ltd. Currently, Dodds is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Engineering at The University of Auckland, having studied at the University of Canterbury earlier.
