Thomas Moran

Thomas Moran has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Thomas is currently the VP and Head of Biodiversity Products at GIST Impact since December 2023. Prior to this, in November 2022, they founded NatureBase Technologies. Thomas has also worked as an Advisor at EcoSync.ai from June 2022 to November 2022 and as a Co-Founder from December 2022 to December 2023. Thomas has served as the Director of Solutions Architecture at LeapYear Technologies from February 2020 to June 2022. Thomas worked as the Data Science and Product Lead at Enigma Technologies, Inc. from April 2015 to February 2020. Additionally, they were a Fellow at Insight Data Science from January 2015 to March 2015. Thomas began their career as an Associate Member of the Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory from December 2001 to August 2009.

Thomas Moran earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 1997 and 2001. Thomas then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 2009 to 2015.
