Lukas Oppermann

Lukas Oppermann is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in UI/UX design, design systems, and user experience strategy. Currently serving as a Staff Systems Designer at GitHub, Lukas focuses on design tokens, components, tooling, and Figma strategy for Primer. As a Design Lead for user experience and interface design since 2005, Lukas has led various design initiatives across multiple organizations, including Deutsche Telekom, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, and Lab1886, where responsibilities have included shaping design systems, conducting user research, and collaborating closely with developers. Additionally, Lukas contributes to academia as a lecturer at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences, teaching digital product design. With a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from BTK University of Art and Design, Lukas's career reflects a strong commitment to advancing design practices and fostering innovation.
