Tobias Ahlin

Tobias Ahlin is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product design, user experience, and education. Currently serving as Principal Product Designer at GitHub since October 2019, Tobias is focused on designing GitHub Copilot. Previous roles include Principal Design Engineer and Staff Design Engineer at Tappily, where Tobias also works as a product designer, coach, and speaker. At Hyper Island, Tobias contributed as an Industry Leader from January 2015 to September 2022, teaching a user-centered, data-driven approach to product design. Prior experience includes directing UI and UX for the Minecraft franchise at Mojang AB, serving as Chief of Design at Lookback, and product design at Spotify, among other roles. Tobias holds educational credentials from Hyper Island and Blekinge Institute of Technology.
