Zach Renner

Zach Renner is a highly skilled software engineer with extensive experience in developing and architecting software features. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at GitHub since January 2020, Zach has led the development of the Actions Usage Metrics feature, spearheaded the replatforming of GitHub Actions services to Kubernetes, and designed key infrastructure for version safety. Previously, Zach worked at Microsoft from July 2013 to January 2020, where core components of Azure's Package Management were developed as a Senior Software Engineer. Early career experience includes internships at Qualcomm and Merit Network, alongside positions as a Software Development Engineer and Instructional Aide at the University of Michigan. Zach holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
