Amy Shiel

Amy Shiel is an accomplished engineering manager with extensive experience in the software engineering field. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at GitLab since March 2023, Amy has previously held similar managerial roles at Toast and SEEK, where responsibilities included overseeing engineering teams and managing marketplace services. With a strong technical background, Amy has worked in various engineering positions at organizations such as National Australia Bank, Friends First, Kainos, MasterCard, and IBM, contributing to software development and leadership. Academic achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and a 1st class Honours degree in Computer Science & Software Engineering from Maynooth University.
